The workshop will cover adult & child resuscitation, the unconscious casualty, choking, chest pain, seizures, asthma, bleeding, bone, muscle and joint injuries, head injury, primary survey, sprains and strains and defibrillator use.

This interactive workshop is designed specifically for young volunteers (aged 13 – 15) who are supporting sport and physical activity sessions. It provides a clear and practical introduction to safeguarding, helping young leaders understand their responsibilities, recognise signs of concern, and know what to do if they are worried about a child’s safety or wellbeing.

Through real-life scenarios and discussion, participants will explore boundaries, appropriate behaviours, reporting processes and how to create safe, positive environments for everyone involved in sport. The session builds confidence, awareness and understanding — equipping young volunteers with the knowledge they need to lead responsibly and support others safely.

We all want our clubs to be friendly and inclusive, but how confident are you that a new member would know where to park, what to wear, who to speak to, or even whether they’d feel like they belong?

The Warm Welcome Project is a practical workshop designed to help clubs attract and retain new members by reflecting on the full journey of a new participant, from seeing your social media page and arriving at the venue to their experience during and after their first session. It’s about building confidence, belonging and positive first impressions that help your club grow sustainably.
