Mechatronics Systems Principles / 1005COL-N

Mechatronics

£495.00

Description

The aim of the module is to introduce the student to the necessary skills and principles which underpin a range of mechatronic systems. The module will encompass small single component systems as well as larger systems integrating components from different engineering disciplines. The module will deal with the control concepts used in mechatronic systems and will focus on system design and maintenance. The approach will be broad-based, to reflect the fact that mechatronics is, by its nature, multidisciplinary and not confined to a single specialised discipline. The intention is to encourage the student to recognise a system, not as an interconnection of different parts but as an integrated whole.

Assessment
The in-course assessment will take the form of a series of elements of assessment generally comprising 5-10 short answer questions. It will assess the ability to research, interpret and analyse a problem and to produce a workable solution.
