Description

This module gives students an opportunity to experience the process of carrying out a design project and the production of a design report containing specifications in accordance with given customer requirements. A key aim of the module will be to enable students to appreciate that design involves synthesising parameters which affect the eventual design solution.

Assessment
Element 1, which will take the form of a design specification, will cover the key elements of design, the selection of a design method, and justification for it.

Element 2 will cover the selection of appropriate computer-based technology and the application of a range of communication methods in the production and presentation of a design report
