How and why does exercise improve your fitness and health? What makes some sportspeople perform at such a high level? What makes people exercise or participate in sport? This course introduces you to the basic scientific principles and theories which explain human performance and participation in sport and exercise. Taught through a mixture of lectures, practicals and workshops, topics include the development of health and athletic performance, and the promotion of sport and exercise participation.
